Easy changeover

An innovative coating unit with extraordinary ease of use.

The innovative coating unit is designed for diversity and quick changeovers between different types of printing jobs.

The improved anilox roller change in the coating unit makes setting up noticeably easier, safer, and faster. The coating plate can now also be easily clamped centrally. This significantly accelerates changeovers.

The integration into the machine control via the Prinect Press Center XL 3 offers a multitude of options for remote adjustment, such as register setting, pressing provision, and outlet control.

Highly versatile

The use determines the printing process - the choice is yours.

How can you address the increasing demands in the printing market? Through a flexible configuration of the printing press. The Speedmaster CX 104 allows you to flexibly switch between conventional and instant drying UV colors - supported by the additional washing cycle for the inking unit, blanket, and printing cylinder.

Auto Protect: Roller protection during operation. If a printing unit remains unused after a changeover, it is automatically completely washed and a roller protection agent is applied.

Clean environment - Clean workplace. In general, a more or less pronounced overspray is created in the inking unit. This is absorbed by the integrated and powerful ink mist extraction system in the Speedmaster CX 104.

The Preset Plus delivery – perfection right down to the pile

High-precision pile formation with the shortest makeready times by adopting presetting data in the Preset Plus delivery.

Presettable, dynamic sheet brake accepts the sheet at production speed, straightens it, and decelerates it to the delivery speed under controlled conditions.

Sheet travel – reliable guidance through the machine

Outstanding sheet travel quality and substrate flexibility due to AirTransfer system, the patented, contact-free sheet guide with Venturi nozzle technology.

The inking unit and dampening unit – quality in a nutshell

  • Outstanding production stability, high contrast, and homogeneous printing of solid areas due to the tried and tested inking unit with lined ink fountain, perfectly combined with the unique, speed-compensated Alcolor dampening system.
  • Perfect ink metering - Color Assistant Pro software for self-calibration of the ink zones and automatic adaption of the characteristic profiles.
  • Automatic filling of the ink fountains using the InkStar ink supply system.

The dryer systems – quickly and efficiently into postpress

  • Excellent drying results thanks to DryStar Combination with infrared as well as hot-air and recirculated-air modules is optimally coordinated with the sheet travel.
  • The UV preparation for the use of LED dryers enables fast processing and the expansion of the range of applications.

The coating unit – for the highest standards of finishing

Innovative coating unit with a high quality chamber doctor blade system, consisting of doctor blade chamber, exchangeable anilox roller as well as ink drip tray with level sensors for a homogeneous coating with high gloss. Quick changeover systems for doctor blades and anilox rollers to facilitate operation and increase the efficiency.

The printing unit – designed for productivity

The fully automatic, staggered plate changer AutoPlate Pro works quickly and precisely, and saves valuable makeready time.

Color and register measurement and control system – integrated reliability

Prinect Inpress Control 3 spectrophotometrically measures and controls the color inline during production. The register is checked at the same time and readjusted if necessary. Powerful ink mist extraction for optimal printing and working conditions.

The washup devices – intelligent and economical washing

Extremely short washing times combined with outstanding washup results thanks to program-controlled blanket washup devices for blanket, impression cylinders and inking unit.

The Preset Plus feeder – high performance for quality right from the start

Reduced makeready times and steady sheet travel – the Preset Plus feeder automatically adapts to format and air settings.

Intuitive and ergonomic operation of feeder and machine functions due to control panel with touchscreen.
