The PowderStar AP 500 for straight printing presses and the PowderStar AP 500 Duo for perfecting are the high-performance systems for uniform, finely metered powder application. It ensures a reliable production with minimal powder consumption due to the unique nozzle technology with stabilizing air. The automatic adjustment to the sheet size, multi-step sheet width scale and automatic speed compensation characterize this powder spray system. In addition to the PowderStar AP500 and PowderStar AP500 Duo, the PowderStar Pro for straight printing presses and the PowderStar Pro Duo for perfecting are equipped with a finer format width adaption to enable further powder saving.
The new PowderStar XL Duo is the peak performance system for highest production requirements. Compared to the PowderStar Pro it ensures up to 15 percent less powder consumption and up to 45 percent less machine and environmental soiling.
Supported by the optional Powder Assistant, it enables zonal powder application and reduces the powder consumption based on the ink coverage. In addition, the integrated Powder Shutter ensures that excess powder between two consecutive sheets does not get into the machine or the environment.
InsertStar is the tape inserter system integrated into the delivery. It combines a run counting function and a marking function for waste sheets in a single device – all controlled via the Prinect Press Center. These functions make InsertStar unique on the market.
CleanStar effectively minimizes powder emissions from the delivery, reduces odor emissions when using dispersion and UV coatings, and efficiently removes waste heat generated by drying processes.
