From data to finished product in one pass.

The new Stahlfolder Fireline is specifically developed to meet the requirements of finishing digitally printed jobs. It enables the automated production of ultra-short runs – with variable cutting and folding processes in a single pass. Fully integrated into the Prinect workflow, job processing is fast, efficient, and nearly operator-free: A data matrix code on the printed sheet identifies the job, and most settings are automatically retrieved and executed.

At a glance

  • Automated postpress for ultra-short runs

  • Integrated cutting and folding in one pass

  • Automatic job recognition via data matrix code

  • Full Prinect connectivity for job-based automation

  • Flexible slitter shaft system for creasing, perforating, and trimming

Application flexibility

From A3/A4 posters with edge trimming to four-page brochures and eight-page A6 products – the Stahlfolder Fireline handles a wide range of formats and fold types with ease. Perfectly matched to the Jetfire 50, it delivers high-quality end products – with no intermediate cutting on the guillotine.

Key features

Touchscreen Control

The intuitive touchscreen interface makes input fast and easy. Thanks to automatic job recognition and Prinect integration, most manual input is no longer needed.

Feeder

The feeder enables automatic job recognition via an integrated camera system. The FFH flat pile feeder allows the Stahlfolder TH 66 Fireline to run nearline in combination with digital sheetfed presses such as the Jetfire 50. The optional hybrid feeder enables flexible switching between inline/web-fed and nearline sheetfed operation.

Delivery Unit

We recommend the SPH 70 shingle stream delivery with integrated pressing unit for outstanding fold quality. It includes a counting and marking device for job separation.

Automated slitter shaft station (SSP)

The SSP allows creasing, perforating, and trimming in the longitudinal direction, e.g., for fold preparation or edge trimming. Three pairs of slitter shafts can be automatically activated or deactivated, depending on the job.

Cross-directional slitter shafts

Three additional slitter shaft pairs are located before and after the folding unit for processing in the cross direction. These are typically used for separating two-ups or for edge trimming. The two rear mounted slitter shafts can be raised to an ergonomic height via the slitter shaft lift for easy access.

Parallel Fold Unit

Up to eight motorized folding pockets are available for fold products. The sheet stops are precisely adjusted spindle driven by two motors. The Perfect Grip folding rollers are also automated.
