Modular control system MCT for easy operation of your folding machine

The MCT control system consists of a central control panel at the feeder of the folding machine and integrated control functions, both in the following units as well as in the delivery which offer complete control over the most important machine functions. In the learning mode the sheet length is measured and the suction cycle length and sheet gap are automatically set and continuously monitored.
A gluing attachment and image recognition systems can be integrated at the alignment table. This increases the added value and guarantees good quality and process reliability.
Buckle plate folding units: Precise fold accuracy and short setup times

After entering the job data at the touchscreen all necessary parameters take their positions in a motorized way, both in parallel and in cross-fold section. This reduces your setup times. This makes you very successful also with a hybrid job structure consisting of small runs from digital presses and larger circulations from conventional offset presses.

Top folding accuracy and mark-free sheet guidance: the right folding roller technology for precise folding results
The innovative Perfect Grip folding roller technology ensures outstanding folding results over the entire length - without compromise. They are less prone to wear and require less maintenance than previous folding roller variants. In addition, the ideal setting range for the folding roller gap is up to two times greater. This makes them more forgiving and reduces set-up times, particularly on manual folding machines, but also on automated folding machines.
The Perfect Grip folding rollers are installed as standard in the parallel fold on all Stahlfolder BH/CH folding machine models. The proven Hard-PU technology is still used in the cross fold of the CH models.
Manual or motor-driven folding roller adjustment
For an exact setting of gaps of folding rollers and slitter shafts, manual designs are equipped with the proven FESTA-folding roller adjustment. The adjusting knob is simply underlaid with the corresponding number of paper strips; these adjustments are transferred directly and free from play to folding rollers and slitter shafts. Motor-driven folding roller adjustment is available as an option. In this case, the folding roller gap is adjusted by motor after manual input of the paper thickness.

Slitter shafts to enlarge your process steps
The Stahlfolder BH/CH folding machines are equipped with a pair of rear-mounted slitter shafts by default. This allows you to crease, perforate and cut in the folding machine which increases the fold quality and allows for multiple-up production.
Wide range of deliveries: the optimum delivery for every application
Different delivery systems deliver the sheets after folding. The range of deliveries extends from simple stream deliveries to horizontal stack deliveries, all the way to highly productive stack deliveries. Some deliveries are equipped with pressing rollers for pressing the folded sheets on delivery. This increases folding quality, reduces the pile volume, and facilitates downstream postpress operations. Marking devices stagger the piles laterally, making it easier to remove the folded products. For multiple ups, the individual ups can additionally be separated from one another. Which delivery you use has a considerable influence on your overall system productivity.
