Increased sheetfed offset press speeds of up to 21,000 sheets per hour, like on the Speedmaster XL 106, mean shorter intervals between reel changes. The CutStar 106, which has been completely redeveloped for high speeds even with the thinnest materials, significantly increases productivity with more automation, simple handling and easy maintenance.
A zero-speed, non-stop splicer is the perfect complement to roll-fed converting. An automatic splicer converts reels into a continuous web by splicing reel to reel at full press speed, which is then cut precisely to size by the CutStar.
The integration with the Push to Stop and Intellistart functions of the press makes the CutStar with non-stop splicer unique. The press, CutStar and non-stop splicer communicate continuously with each other.
