In November 2025, the HEIDELBERG Home of Print became a meeting point for young international print talents.
Together with the Swiss Printing and Media Association, we launched the Print Technology World Championships 2025 – a competition that offers young professionals an international stage and continues the successful tradition of the former WorldSkills. As a long-standing partner and driving force in the industry, we now take on the role of organizer and host. Our goal: to support young talent and help our customers find qualified future specialists.
Four nations – Japan, France, Switzerland and Germany – competed from November 18 to 21 in demanding disciplines such as offset printing, digital printing, maintenance and cutting. First place went to Lukas Briggen from Switzerland, followed by Noah Blaumoser (Germany), Ayato Ueoka (Japan) and Killian Fehringer (France).
HEIDELBERG is committed to continuing this initiative: in 2026, the next German Championship for print media technologists will take place at the Print Media Center, followed by the World Championships at the Home of Print in 2027 – with the possibility of hosting the print competition of the EuroSkills.
“At today’s event, we celebrate young talents who are shaping the future of our industry,” said Bernhard Nahm, Senior Manager Print Media Center at HEIDELBERG, during the award ceremony. “Supporting young professionals is essential for the strength of the print sector – that’s why we continue to invest decisively in training and skills development.”
