Heidelberger Druckmaschinen AG (HEIDELBERG) has reorganized its Wiesloch-Walldorf site: Orhan Bekyigit (47) is now the new plant manager in addition to his role as site manager for the central units.
The reorganization is part of a comprehensive strategy: HEIDELBERG is investing in the site while simultaneously strengthening its position in international growth markets. "We are delighted to entrust this important task to Orhan Bekyigit, an internal manager with a wealth of experience," emphasizes Jürgen Otto, CEO of HEIDELBERG. "These changes send a clear message: we are investing in our future – locally and globally." The company's aim is to improve competitiveness and, above all, to optimize production and administration at its main plant.
Strategic importance of the realignment
The printing industry is facing major challenges: rising energy and personnel costs and intense global competition. HEIDELBERG is responding to this by creating transparency at its site and consistently optimizing production processes. The aim is to make logistics, manufacturing, and assembly in Wiesloch more efficient, leaner, and more sustainable. Under the leadership of Orhan Bekyigit, the areas of Sheetfed Assembly, Manufacturing, Electronics Production, Logistics, and Site Management will be integrated in the future. "We want to set up production the way a medium-sized company would: efficiently, transparently, and competitively," explains Bekyigit. "The reorganization is a prerequisite for us to be able to produce more economically in Wiesloch."
Orhan Bekyigit has been with the company since 1999. He has held various positions, including site management. With around 3,800 employees, Wiesloch-Walldorf is the largest site of HEIDELBERG.
