Heidelberger Druckmaschinen AG (HEIDELBERG) is continuing to drive forward the international rollout of its industrial Jetfire 50 digital inkjet press according to plan. The French commercial printing company PERFECTMIX has now put the first Jetfire 50 in France into operation at its Saint-Laurent-du-Var site. In recent years, PERFECTMIX has developed into one of the most innovative print service providers in southern France. To achieve this, the company acquired several printing plants, expanded its local presence, and thus laid the foundation for continuous growth. In this context, digital printing in combination with offset presses is becoming increasingly important. Driven by a clear commitment to customer proximity, extremely fast turnaround times, and a structured corporate social responsibility (CSR) approach, PERFECTMIX aims to continue its dynamic growth in France with the Jetfire 50. With this investment, the company underscores its determination to offer the market new creative solutions.

An integrated workflow for maximum efficiency

From PERFECTMIX’s perspective, the Jetfire 50 integrated seamlessly into the existing workflow with the HEIDELBERG Prinect Production Manager, creating a unified and coordinated hybrid print production process. The resulting level of automation enables the company to optimize order management, streamline numerous process steps, and switch seamlessly between offset and digital printing. The integration of the Jetfire 50 into the Prinect workflow provides PERFECTMIX with a strong competitive advantage, as responsiveness, efficiency, and cost control have been optimized across the entire production process. With the Jetfire 50, the company has gained flexibility in handling short runs, personalized content, or on-demand production, and has implemented an end-to-end production process that is precisely tailored to the requirements of a rapidly changing market.

A milestone in the company’s development

For PERFECTMIX, the Jetfire 50 represents one of the most important investment decisions of recent years, enabling the company to meet the growing demand for short runs, personalized content, fast turnaround times, and digital prints that are absolutely comparable in quality to offset printing. With this installation, PERFECTMIX is solidifying its position as an innovative and high-performance print service provider in the French digital printing landscape.

“The Jetfire 50 perfectly complements our offset and post-press equipment and enables us to optimize our production, particularly for short and medium runs: personalized print products, small premium runs, or products requiring finishing steps,” said Franck Vitaloni and Jean-Pierre Geiser, managing directors at PERFECTMIX.

Overall, the market is responding very positively to the hybrid production concept from HEIDELBERG for industrial commercial printing and is taking advantage of the resulting business opportunities. More and more HEIDELBERG customers are supplementing their offset printing production capacities with the Jetfire 50 industrial inkjet printing system. This is because in a hybrid printing production environment, where offset and digital printing are integrated via Prinect into a continuous workflow, both printing processes play to their respective strengths, ensuring efficient and cost-effective production across the entire run length spectrum.

“As a full-service provider and end-to-end system integrator, HEIDELBERG offers its customers digital printing solutions that enable them to increase their profitability and competitiveness,” says Dr. David Schmedding, Executive Board Member for Technology and Sales at HEIDELBERG. “We are right on schedule with the international rollout of the Jetfire 50,” Schmedding emphasizes. “Further initial installations of the industrial inkjet system are planned in additional Asian markets as well as Northern Europe over the coming weeks and months.”
