It was already in 2012 that Centrale de Béthune decided to buy a Speedmaster XL 75-4+L with the LE-UV Technology from Heidelberg. This pays off in many areas. For optimized power consumption, the number of UV lamps has been reduced. Special highly reactive inks allow nearly perfect drying without ozone emissions in this special UV spectrum. Other benefits include quick drying of the sheet by UV and easier printing of matte and uncoated materials, especially by uncoated papers.

All these advantages have been confirmed by extensive testing with the printing company Centrale de Bethune and were crucial for the company to equip the Speedmaster XL 75 with the LE UV technology. Since the installation end of 2012 the machine prints coatings with very high gloss. The Speedmaster XL 75 also allows to print conventional inks and acrylic varnishes.

Centrale de Béthune is specialized in printing short runs. The company is also certified with "Imprim'Vert" and "FSC / PEFC". This commitment to environmental protection should be underlined by the press purchase. As a pioneer Centrale de Béthune has installed the first printing press in France which was completely manufactured CO 2 neutral. Since drupa 2012, Heidelberger Druckmaschinen AG offers all of their products with the option 'CO 2 Neutral manufactured' (the CO 2 emissions incurred during the manufacture and transportation of the machine are compensated by a reforestation program of «natureOffice» Togo / Africa).
