Hartgraph Print expands its litho capacity

07/11/2017

Hartgraph Print is investing in a new top of the range Heidelberg Speedmaster XL 75-5+L that offers the company maximum productivity. This highly specified press is currently being installed at the company’s purpose built freehold premises to run alongside the Speedmaster XL 75 that the company purchased back in December 2014.

The new Speedmaster XL 75-5+L features the latest Prinect software and Autoplate XL technology allowing for fast set up and colour control. To ensure colour consistency across both machines Hartgraph has also invested in software upgrades on the current XL 75.

In a move towards installing the new press Hartgraph has invested in the expansion of its premises to 14,000sq ft of factory floor space to hold not only the new press, but also to expand the finishing department which will be required to keep up with the speed of the two presses running concurrently.

Hartgraph has both Prinect prepressand Pressroom Manager integrated workflows and its move to new premises allowed them to enhance its physical workflow as well. It is very efficiency focused, seeing this as a means of attaining the right productivity and quality for customers.

“Heidelberg has always been a professional and efficient company to work with and we find the machines (in all departments) are well engineered and the after-sales service is excellent. The XL 75 has been a game-changer for us as a business so bolstering our current offering with a second machine was a natural next step,” says Natalie Stubbs, marketing manager at Hartgraph.

Hartgraph has made these changes to meet demand in the current markets that it operates. It is well known for printing a very wide range of commercial print and packaging, regularly shipping to national and international businesses. Print runs vary from ten to hundreds of thousands, even millions. Hartgraph is an extremely high-quality printer; this can be attributed to its experienced and highly skilled minders as well as investment in the first class technology.
