Financial Data Management adds a five-colour Versafire

16/10/2017

Financial Data Management (FDM) will next week take delivery of a Versafire CV 80 with the fifth colour and long sheet options included.

Heidelberg offers four different colour options for a fifth unit: high opacity white, varnish, neon yellow and the recently added neon pink which is ideal for eye-catching leaflets, tickets etc

FDM is an East London business specialises in printing and mailing services, providing comprehensive document solutions for public and private sector organisations. In the last 18 months it has seen a rise in print demand and it decided to upgrade its Xerox Docucolor to a press better suited to the type of work it was being asked to produce.

“We are seeing a lot more short run, high quality colour print runs of brochures, pamphlets and other promotional material,” says Bobby Rogers, operations manager. “We investigated the market and looked at Xerox, Canon and others. We could have gone to Ricoh but we opted to buy the Versafire CV from Heidelberg because the front end marries in with equipment we run in the litho department.”

He believes that the fifth colour and demand for 6pp A4 will provide useful added value options for its customers. Most are London-based but the geographical spread of its market is expanding. The press will be delivered next week, the operators trained and it will go straight into flexible day production producing short run, quick turnround work.

Heidelberg has over 1,500 Versafires installed worldwide, the CV model standing for Commercial Value and the CP for Commercial Production.
