Heidelberg demonstrates digital and litho technology at PrintWeekLive!

18/01/2017

On the Heidelberg stand (D20) at PrintWeekLive! (8-9 March, Wasps Arena Coventry) under the banner Simply Smart there will be a Press Center XL 2 on show and a Versafire CV five-colour B3 digital press with “all day live demos”.

Experts will be on hand to offer advice on subjects ranging from MIS, prepress, press, finishing, consumables and service through to colour management, quality and performance. It’s a great opportunity to get up to speed on the latest developments in both digital and offset technologies and find out more about trends and issues such as Low Energy UV and LED-UV. There will be some excellent and informative videos displayed to supplement one to one discussions.

Heidelberg is also involved in both the PrintWeekLive! conference and workshop. The workshop presentation from Heidelberg will focus on pressroom efficiency and will be run on both days of the show.

“We are all inspired by sport and can learn from the techniques used to develop consistent winners. Printers who adopt the ‘marginal gains’ philosophy of Sir David Brailsford, (ex GB Cycling Team Performance Director), will be winners too,” says Jim Todd, sales director of Heidelberg UK. “The graphic arts sector needs to be able to measure and monitor performance along with finding those incremental improvements that taken together create a winning formula. That means better quality, higher output, less waste, faster turnround times and ultimately greater profitability.”

Anthony Thirlby will represent Heidelberg on the discussion panel, talking about the pressroom of tomorrow and the impact of workflows, Print 4.0, data and other factors that are evolving to improve overall equipment and business performance.

Three weeks after this event on 29 and 30 March Heidelberg will run its own Open House in Brentford where it will be able to demonstrate a wider range of equipment, including B2 presses (running conventional and LED-UV inking), and featuring demonstrations and user testimonials to provide insights into the latest technologies revealed at Drupa last year. More details will follow in two weeks.
