Mount Street Printers undertakes front to back investment

27/06/2016

Royal Warrant Holder Mount Street Printers in Mayfair will take delivery of its largest Polar to date, a N78 ECO model, next month.

The company, which already runs Heidelberg CtP, litho and digital printing equipment, is a great fan of Heidelberg. Since taking on a Linoprint C901 four years ago, digital print has grown to represent 10% of the business.

“We like the products and we like the back up,” says Alex Cain, director of sales. “This will be our third Polar guillotine. The others are Polar 66 models.”

The larger format guillotine will allow the business to cut B1 stock to bespoke sizes ready for printing, whether digital or litho work.

“It’s more economical, faster and more flexible to work this way,” says Mr Cain.

The Polar N78 ECO features a 5.5inch monochrome screen and is known for its cutting accuracy and fine adjustment and easy knife changes with Optiknife. It cuts stocks of up to 780mm width and has a loading height of 120mm.

The Polar will work flexible days, mainly Monday to Friday with overtime when demand requires it.

Mount Street Printers also offers thermography, die-stamping, die-cutting, foil, letterpress and large format services.
