Moo Print concentrates its cutting on to Polar equipment

20/05/2016

Web to print producer Moo Print is taking its cutting to a new level, taking its second Polar 92 N Plus from Heidelberg UK in 18 months. The first replaced an office cutter and this time round it replaces a Perfecta.

The company, part of a technology business, handles business cards, flyers and promotional material. It generates a lot of work from the SoHo (small office, home office) buyers but can also handle work for consumers through to corporates. It makes ordering print easy and uses some imaginative marketing, promoting it to students for instance with the appeal of a 15% discount.

“The Polar N92 is easy to use and set up programmes. We can put more under the clamp in one strike and by concentrating our cutting on one make and model makes it easier. It is a good reliable machine,” says Andy Whale, operations manager at the Stratford, East London, plant.

The company is equipped with digital presses but finishes most work offline as that best suits the company’s production needs. Sheets handled are up to B3 so the 92cm wide Polar is the ideal format.

“Staff are very pleased; reinvestment is something that Moo Print does well,” says Mr Whale.

Polar launched the N Plus and N Pro series last Drupa and it has had great success in the UK market. This Drupa (31 May to 10 June) it will once again be adjacent to Heidelberg in Hall 1 and will present a diverse range of equipment and products to cover many sectors of the market including commercial, digital, label and book printers. To satisfy the creative mind the latest in digital laser cutting machine will also be on show. Moo Print will be attending the show in Dusseldorf.
