Heidelberg UK recruits experts to succeed frontline veterans

Heidelberg has two new frontline sales reps, both highly experienced graphic arts salesmen. The opportunity arises as two long serving veterans retire from the company.

Andrew Jack is promoted from finishing specialist to frontline representative covering the Midlands area and succeeding Colin Forrester who has retired after 24 years with Heidelberg UK. Colin plans to spend the summer with his wife in a cottage in Pembrokeshire and to take more time for golf, fishing, guitar lessons, gardening and spending time with his grandchildren.

For Martin Rimmer this marks a return to Heidelberg UK after a two year gap. He had been on the Prinect, digital and consumables sales team previously, from 2002 and 2014, and now he will cover the frontline role in the north-west region of England and North Wales. He succeeds Steve Beswick who has served Heidelberg UK for 29 years and who was Salesman of the Year 2015. Steve says he has much to thank Heidelberg for including “constantly evolving technology and business, great colleagues, travel, banter – and a wife“! Sue worked in the office and they first met 25 years ago. Now he plans to spend more time with her and his grandchildren.

As frontline sales representatives Andrew Jack and Martin Rimmer will lead a team of specialists to ensure customers in their area are aware of developments and get the best advice when investing in their production portfolio, tailored to their specific requirements.

Andrew Jack has been with Heidelberg UK for 20 years in service management, branching into sales with a postpress role ten years ago.

“Heidelberg has great teamwork and a fantastic resource of knowledge and I see my role as making the best use of that expertise so that customers get the very optimum advice to meet their current and future needs,” he says. “There is an incredible range of products, strengthened and broadened by our network of partnerships and we offer unrivalled service and support.”

When Andrew isn’t working his interests include target shooting, walking the dogs and keeping up with his two grown up children.

Martin Rimmer says: “Heidelberg has recently rebranded with a focus on business driven by market demands and customer needs. This - coupled with Heidelberg’s consultancy, technology and the ability to supply turnkey solutions – will enable customers to run even more reliably and efficiently.”

Martin loves to spend time with his wife of 14 years Jane and their four young children but he is also an action man whose interest include football, running, cycling and the gym.
