About our Apprenticeship Program

Overview. With the HEIDELBERG Apprenticeship Program, participants begin their journey as full-time, paid, employed apprentices with hands-on and classroom training. Upon graduation from the program apprentices begin their career as an official HEIDELBERG Field Service Technician with room to grow within the organization.

Technical Training. The program includes a comprehensive Fundamentals course at Heidelberg USA, Inc. headquarters in Kennesaw, GA (outside of Atlanta). During this time, apprentices will be introduced to the basics of operating, electrical, and mechanical functions on HEIDELBERG equipment and will receive a thorough overview of the company.

Work-Based Training. Upon hiring, apprentices will be paired with mentors in the field where they will work in their base region for two to three years.* During this on-the-job training, apprentices will gain valuable experience and skills necessary for working on HEIDELBERG equipment in the field. Periodically, the apprentices will return to Kennesaw, GA for further specialized training. After successful completion of the Apprenticeship Program, apprentices graduate to become official HEIDELBERG Field Service Technicians.

*Apprentices can be fast tracked based on prior experience.
