Compensation: After every 12 months, Heidelberg offers salary increases based on the successful completion of the Fundamentals class.
Per Diem: A generous Travel Per Diem rate will be given during your first year of the Apprenticeship.
Tools: Tool kits will be assembled during the Fundamentals class and issued to Apprentices before departing for Field Service Apprenticeship.
Transportation: The Apprentices will drive their personal vehicles during the first year of the Apprenticeship and be reimbursed for every business mile.
Technical Training: The program begins with a comprehensive two month introduction at Heidelberg’ USA headquarters in Kennesaw, GA (outside of Atlanta). During this time, the apprentices will be introduced to the basics of every operating, electrical and mechanical function on a Heidelberg press. In addition, apprentices are acquainted with other equipment and a history of the company.
Work-Based Training: After the introductory course, the apprentices will return to their base region and work with an experienced journeyman Mentor for two to three years. Through this on-the-job training, the apprentices will gain valuable experience and develop skills in the field. Periodically, the apprentices will return to Kennesaw, GA for further testing in an effort to gauge their progress. After passing a Final Exam, the apprentices will be offered competitive pay, benefits and a chance to have a lifelong career with Heidelberg.
