What is your role at Heidelberg?

I am the Head of Credit at Heidelberg. My role is to ensure that we offer the right amount of credit to customers and also get them to make payments against credit on time and, as much as possible, with a smile!

Before working at Heidelberg, what was the most interesting job you’ve ever had?

The most interesting job I have had was at John Lewis where I managed a team of 25. The role was varied and challenging. I learnt a lot about self-development and changing the work environment. I gained fantastic experience working in a shared service and always looking for continuous improvements in every process that we had. I loved having the opportunity to develop my team and help them progress.

We even won awards at the British Credit and became the first in Retail to obtain the CICMQ quality accreditation from the Chartered Institute of Credit Management.

What drew you to Heidelberg originally?

I was very attracted with the role being offered to me and loved the challenge of using my experience to change and improve processes to best standards. Moreover, Heidelberg is a well-recognised brand!

What has been your favourite project at Heidelberg up to now?

Improving our company’s working capital by speeding up customer payment, wherever possible; I’ve learnt that communication and flexibility are key.

What do you like to do on your days off?

I love to keep fit, so I spend time at the gym. I also enjoy playing and watching football; I am a Man-U supporter!

What is on your bucket list?

● Make sure my family is looked after

● Go to every country in the world

● Watch Man-U win the treble again

What is the first thing you would buy if you won the lottery?

I would take a long holiday with my family at the Maldives!
