What has been your favourite project at Heidelberg?

Being a trainee, I haven’t yet had many opportunities to get involved in projects and a bulk of my time has been spent learning about the printing industry. I have been actively involved with the introduction of the new Smart BI product and have received dedicated training, which I expect to put to good use as soon as possible! My time as a trainee has also helped me to further my skills in a range of products like Proman, computer hardware and, most recently, Suprasetter.

When was the last time you laughed so hard you cried?

I am a football fan. I play in a Sunday league team and am a big supporter of West Bromwich Albion. My best mate, on the other hand, supports our biggest rivals ‘Wolves’. When he said to me, “Wolves are going to be in the Champions League!”, I had tears in my eyes and I am still laughing now!

What have you gained from working at Heidelberg?

During my time at Heidelberg so far, I have gained many skills. Many of them are industry-specific, but I have also learned a great deal about myself. I have learned how to cope in stressful situations, how to adapt myself to meet customers’ demands and, when staying away from home, how to enjoy my own company!

What aspect of your role do you enjoy the most?

My favourite part of this role is meeting new and interesting people at customer sites and taking head-on the day-to-day challenges that I face. To work and learn from dedicated individuals within Heidelberg is also an aspect of the role I like and value. I also enjoy anything related to technology, so being able to work with high tech equipment and PCs is a bonus for me!

What is on your wishlist for the next 10 years with Heidelberg?

I want to become an ever more present part of the company and continue to develop both my technical and personal skills. I would also like to help in the implementation of digital solutions and enable customers to make the most of their products as technology advances.

What music is on your phone?

Spending so much time out and about on the roads, I would have to say ‘Radio 1’ is my first choice for music. However, I am also quite well known in my family for having the most random ‘Spotify’ playlists which include a whole range of different genres!

Where is your favourite place to eat?

I do enjoy a good steak. Travelling around, I certainly get to try different kinds of steak at different places, but I’m yet to taste a bad one at ‘Miller & Carter’!
