This week DXG Media is installing a Polar 115 Pro guillotine, just seven days after ordering it.
“We needed to speed up production in that area and so started to look at our options. Heidelberg offered to sell us their showroom machine which would save us several weeks’ wait and we decided to do that,” says Brendan Tierney, works director.
“There is no such thing as an unimportant piece of kit in this building. It’s no use having top quality printing if the finishing doesn’t match. Repro, print and finishing are equally important to us and the results are awesome.”
The litho and digital plant is based in Dukinfield, Cheshire, and it handles work from all around the UK.
“Business has been very good this financial year, which started on 1st December. Every month we have beaten our targets so far. We strive to continually make improvements where possible to our service and it’s the quality and the reliability that keeps our clients coming back for more,” says Brian Tierney.
“The operating screen on this new guillotine is so big you could watch a football match on it! But seriously, the operating system on the Polar is so user friendly, our operators required little training. The company will also benefits from the programmability and easy Optiknife knife changing system.”
