This spring imageData Group will install a Stahlfolder KH78 at its Willerby site in East Yorkshire. It replaces an old MBO folder and will significantly improve flexibility and speed of makeready.
This progressive and innovative company, often used as a beta test site by suppliers, looked at options from MBO and Heidelberg before making its decision.
“We have always been impressed with Stahl’s build quality and reliability, and cannot highlight one specific feature that swayed our decision; it was the overall package that convinced us and it was also the model our operators preferred,” says Pete Shaw, production director.
imageData chose a combination rather than a buckle folder primarily due to the reduced footprint. The company has an existing Stahlfolder at its Willerby site and the two Heidelberg folders will now complement each other allowing 99% of all folding configurations to be processed in house.
Speed of turnround is critical for this company which uses dry sheet technology and needs finishing to keep up. imageData Group is a one stop shop for print, data and visual communications.
