  • Incodia International Ltd has confirmed the purchase of a Promatrix 106 CSB
  • Incodia is the UK’s largest supplier of gift, loyalty and membership cards
  • This investment opens up new markets & opportunities within the packaging sectors

With the aim to increase the speed and flexibility of its die-cutting, Incodia International Ltd has confirmed the purchase of a Promatrix 106 CSB (cutting, stripping, blanking) die-cutter after considering the competition and visiting an existing Promatrix 106 CSB user. The new machine will be installed at their Colchester facility later this year.

In 2018, Incodia installed the first Heidelberg CX 102-8+L UV press in the UK with spectral colour measurement. With speeds of up to 16,500 sheets per hour, the Speedmaster CX 102 can handle almost all changes in commercial, label and packaging printing enabling the processing of all materials from lightweight paper to rigid cardboard with ease. The relationship with Heidelberg has developed further over the years, with Incodia International using Heidelberg service and having Saphira consumables on consignment.

The Promatrix 106 CSB has a non-stop feeder and non-stop delivery (rake system). This eliminates stops between pallet changes whilst still being able to handle pallets with the typical pile heights found in the folding carton environments, thus increasing efficiency.

Several standard features lead to short set-up times: central adjustment of rollers and brushes on the feed table, quick lock frame of the cutting station, fine adjustment system of the cutting plate, as well as quick lock systems in the stripping station and the blanking station also with fine adjustment.

“The Heidelberg Promatrix 106 CSB stood out from other competitive offers and fits well with our previous and potential future investments. This equipment not only improves our offering and efficiencies across our existing product and customers portfolio, but it also opens up new markets and opportunities within the packaging sectors,” says Allan Lock, Chief Executive Officer.

Incodia International Ltd separated from CPI Card Group in 2018 to form an independent business. Incodia is the UK’s largest supplier of gift, loyalty and membership cards and associated packaging and support. Producing millions of cards out of their UK manufacturing sites each week and distributing globally, they have invested significantly in state-of-the-art equipment to ensure the highest standards and fastest lead times from concept to completion.
