E-Print Solutions Sdn. Bhd is a Web to Print company based in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. Since its founding in 2010, the company has focused offering a wide range of products for both commercial and packaging segment with quick turnaround times and competitive pricing on web portal. Their remarkably fast delivery speed allows their customers to pick up printed products at any of nine E-Print Solutions branches within 24 hours from placing orders, differentiates E-Print Solutions from the competition.
In addition to its headquarters in Kuala Lumpur, E-Print Solutions has factories in Bukit Serdang and nine pick-up branches across the country, employing a total of approximately 300 people. Since its establishment, the company has prioritized streamlining and improving manufacturing efficiency, achieving continuous business growth in the competitive Web to Print sector through the active adoption of the latest technologies.
The company installed multiple units of Suprasetter platesetters and Speedmaster offset presses from HEIDELBERG, as well as Polar high-speed cutting machines equipped with Polar Compucut automatic cutting function. In March 2024, E-Print Solutions installed the Speedmaster CX 92 to replace the previously operating Speedmaster CD 102, with the deciding factors being improved automation technology, increased productivity and reduced plate costs.
Compared to the CD 102 model, the Speedmaster CX 92 boasts a maximum printing speed of 16,500 sheets per hour, achieving an average productivity improvement of around 20%. The increase in productivity is significantly bolstered by various advanced automation that enhance efficiency. Preset Plus Feeder and Preset Plus Delivery on the Speedmaster CX 92 automatically sets the feeder and delivery without human intervention while Prinect Easy Control further reduces make-ready time as well as stable color management during print production.
Additionally, automation relieves stress on the workforce. The Speedmaster CX 92 can produce 30 to 50 jobs per day and 3 to 3.5 million good sheets per month. The Prinect Press Center XL3 plays an important role in reducing make-ready time. Intellistart 3 simplifies operating steps by 70% per job change. This means it is less labor-intensive, with quicker makeready times, even for short runs, and higher output and efficiency. Additionally, adopting the 92 formats reduced plate costs by approximately 20%, which is a significant competitive advantage.
“In addition to the increased productivity from various features, our long-standing trust relationship with HEIDELBERG was a key factor in our decision to adopt their technology,” said company president Brian. “We have great confidence in the HEIDELBERG service team. They always ensure smooth installations and respond quickly to minimize downtime. We are very happy to work with a team that can support the entire production process. They are highly trained professionals. With their extensive experience, they produce excellent quality work.”
Brian explained that the company is focused on achieving high efficiency in print production. He believes that advanced automation, combined with an integrated workflow across the entire production floor, is essential to reaching this goal.
“We are currently working on implementing the Push to Stop concept for automated printing,” he shared. “Furthermore, we are focusing on adopting MultiColor technology, which uses 7-color printing (CMYKOGV) to cover spot colors.”
One of the company’s major objectives is to improve its small-lot production capabilities. “We want to enhance our current system, which allows for runs of 100 sheets, and hopefully in the future, reduce it to just 30 sheets—including postpress,” said Brian. “These initiatives are designed to expand the range of choices, convenience, and value for our customers. We will continue to focus on new technologies to strengthen our business.”
