Stanpac Inc. is based in Smithville, Ontario, close to Niagara Falls. Founded in 1949, the company was originally part of a major manufacturer supplying closures for glass milk bottles. Spun off in 1970 with just two employees, today 350 workers produce ice cream packaging at two sites in North America. Stanpac supports the manufacturing process from start to finish – from design and pre press to printing and post production of the finished ice cream packaging. The Canadian print shop’s customers also appreciate the flexibility and high-quality service it offers. The six-color press with coating unit is designed for UV operation and produces 18,000 sheets an hour. It is elevated and equipped with a logistic system for automated pallet transport and a non-stop feeder and delivery for uninterrupted pallet changes. AutoPlate XL, the system for fully automatic simultaneous plate changes is also part of the machine. In addition, Prinect Inpress Control spectrophotometrically measures both color and register on the fly at all speeds. As the press does not have to be stopped for setup or monitoring operations Prinect Inpress Control maximizes productivity.
