At Labelexpo Europe 2019 we talked with Tony Snyder, VP Product Portfolio Management & Deployment at Philip Morris International (PMI) about a whole range of topics: why PMI decided to invest in a Gallus Labelfire, how does folding carton printing work on Gallus Labelfire hybrid press, and how the journey will continue between Gallus and Philip Morris International?
Philip Morris International (PMI) is continuously working to integrate digital folding carton printing into their production environment. As a hybrid machine, the Gallus Labelfire combines the analogue printing and embellishing processes still required today with the versatility of digital printing. Snyder explains: “When we started looking for a solution, we realized that not everything we wanted was available digitally. So, we had to go with a hybrid solution and the whole concept of the Gallus equipment being modular was ideally suited for that.”
Take a look at the video! Interview with Tony Snyder from PMI why they invested in a digital machine system like the Gallus Labelfire and how the cooperation will continue.
“We are happy with the relationship and want to see it go further, but it`s also a question of keeping up by pushing the technology to the next level”, Tony Snyder sums up.
