“As I see it, the Speedmaster Anicolor press is a real alternative to digital printing. Even with difficult motifs, it delivers top-quality printing without the significant compromises that need to be made with digital presses,” says an excited Hans Reuffurth. What’s more, Anicolor enables him to assign specific jobs to his various offset presses according to run length. This keeps Reuffurth far more flexible and also improves not only the quality of production but also its profitability.
In August 2012, Medienhaus Reuffurth in Mühlheim am Main was one of the first companies in the world to install a press of this series in the medium format. The over 70-strong workforce produces a full range of commercial jobs for discerning customers in Germany and beyond – all in top quality. Reuffurth refuses to compromise in this respect. “It’s important to us that the print result we produce is absolutely identical to the proof approved by the customer,” he stresses.
The perfect color management of Anicolor enables repeat jobs to be printed without the slightest color deviations. Even a change in material makes no difference. Whether processing 80 gsm paper or card, and whether printing on coated or uncoated paper, the press delivers print products that are identical to the proof. Anicolor technology dispenses with ink zone setting – a fact that also cuts makeready times and significantly reduces the amount of paper waste. “In initial tests, we achieved waste savings of around 65 percent,” reports Reuffurth.
