Heidelberg has taken on three new apprentices - Harry Thomas from Bristol, Ryan Watts from York and Elliott Brettle from Sunderland.
“Heidelberg takes training and the development of new skilled young people within our organisation very seriously. With 160 field and technical engineers in the UK we are unrivalled in the support we give our customers and in addition we have the very latest technology to allow us to prevent or repair remotely where possible,” says Gerard Heanue, managing director of Heidelberg UK.
Each of the apprentices carries out an NVQ level 2/3 in Performing Engineering Operations and, depending on their previous training, they will also complete a two year technical certificate in Electrical or Electronic Engineering.
These three join two existing apprentices Connor Murphy and Johnny Haywood. Eight other apprentices have been given full time roles with the company over the past five years.
