Greenshires returns to Heidelberg for another Stahlfolder

02/03/2016

Greenshires will take delivery of a new TH 82 Stahlfolder in May. This is part of a rolling investment programme that started with the installation of a new TH56 in 2015 and replaced an ageing MBO B30. Jonathan Green, group operations manager at the Leicester printing group, says the company has been “very impressed” with its performance.

The latest folder replaces an early 2004 TH 82 and the company says that the part exchange deal with Heidelberg shows that these folders do retain value.

“The operators were very involved in the purchasing decision and visited Heidelberg in Brentford on several occasions. They like the ease of use, ease of make ready and the fact it has the same operating systems as the other Stahlfolder purchased last year,” said Mr Green.

The folder will operate around the clock to meet the strong demand for high quality commercial work. It will primarily be folding sectional work across a range of stock types and weights. Greenshires has opted for a pallet feeder.

Three senior executives from Greenshires will visit Drupa (Dusseldorf 31 May- 10 June) where they hope to review all the technology and to monitor market trends. The company handles a wide range of marketing material and point of sale promotional material. It is environmentally aware and holds ISO 14001 and FSC certification.
