Linoprint enters the Zebrahouse

14/12/2015

Zebrahouse Design and Print says “extra features” were the tempter for its purchase of a Linoprint CV digital press.

“The fact it can handle heavier stocks, run a longer sheet size and apply white or clear toner (and you can easily change between the two in 15-20 minutes) was convincing,” says Dave Wheeldon, director.

As a promotion of the new press it has produced sample books for print buyers and the response has been good with new clients not previously served bringing work to them.

“We knew about the additional features when we bought the press but it is since installation that we have realised how flat the sheets are off the delivery and how good the registration is on this press. McLaren has been one of our customers for over 12 years and they, like all our customers, expect us to be in pole position when it comes to response times.”

Zebrahouse handles a wide range of general commercial print. Dave Wheeldon was a designer originally so the company can handle design as needed and ensure supplied work is print ready. It also provides point of sale and promotional products. The company buys in litho print, meaning that 90% of its turnover is digital.

It operates two Konica Minolta machines and the Heidelberg Linoprint CV is an additional press.

The company recently moved from Farnborough to a beamed rural location in Fleet. All five staff have transferred to the 1,600 sq ft site and it is attracting visitors keen to view the new press. It is certainly seeing the value of the Linoprint technology less than a month into production.
