Heidelberg sets the pace at its Rapid Response open house

14/10/2015

Rapid Response is the theme for Heidelberg UK’s open house at the National Showroom in Brentford from 10am to 5pm on Wednesday 18 and Thursday 19 November.

Jim Todd, sales director, says: “The Heidelberg name is synonymous with colour quality, environmental excellence, productivity and value for money but we want to show printers just how responsive our equipment is, too. As run lengths shorten and turnround times are slashed, rapid response is the daily culture of most printers.”

Visitors are promised the quality of litho from the Linoprint CP and CV digital presses and the speed of digital with new LED UV offset technology demonstrated on a Speedmaster SX 74.

Heidelberg offers conventional inking, conventional UV, LE-UV, LED-UV, Anicolor and digital printing solutions. It is unbiased about the technologies and has the expertise to advise customers on the best route forward, bearing in mind their market, product mix and work volumes.

Output from both LED-UV litho and digital printing solutions will be immediately ready for finishing, eliminating the usual drying delays. It slashes order to delivery timescales.

In addition to the Polar guillotines and Stahlfolders on show at the Brentford showroom, there will be solutions from other third party suppliers, including Muller Martini showing the Presto II saddle-stitcher connected inline to a Stahlfolder.

Collated flat sheets from the digital press and an 8 page A5 folded section from the Speedmaster SX 74 LED-UV press will be combined to produce an eye-catching A5 format 36pp stitched product with digital cover.

Other time-saving solutions at the show include the new Digital Front End, a faster Inpress Control 2 colour and register control tool, enhanced Prinect colour solutions and rapid online consumables ordering – the Heidelberg developments this year have all been efficiency enhancing.

Other third parties represented at this Rapid Response open house are: Tharstern; IST; Morgana; and ATS Banding.
