Singlewell says same again after 16 years of Polar performance

30/04/2015

Singlewell Stationery & Print says it is testament to the build of the guillotine that after 16 years running a Polar 66 they have returned to Heidelberg for the same format machine again.

“The first Polar performed beautifully and we really had our money’s worth so there was no decision to make. We wanted the same again,” says Simon Jones, managing director.

The Gravesend printer is both a quick printer with a shop front and a commercial printer with businesses calling up for their litho and digital printing requirements. About 60% of its business is litho and its three offset presses include a Printmaster from Heidelberg. The digital work goes on Xerox lines. The company is environmentally- and customer-minded.

“We certainly think the Polar 66 ECO is value for money and we will use it across a range of work,” says Mr Jones.

The Polar ECO 66 guillotine features a 5.5 inch monochrome low set keyboard with 198 capacity programme store. The stainless steel bed provides a cutting width and depth of 670mm, making it ideal for 370 x 520mm or B3 format work. The clamp opening height is up to 80mm.
