Speedmaster XL 75-5+L. Competitive advantage thanks to the shortest throughput times combined with outstanding print quality.

An allrounder

“I wouldn’t like to recommend our Speedmaster XL 75 to anyone,” laughs Jason Pressley, Sales Manager at Pressprint. He goes on to explain: “It gives us a clear competitive advantage thanks to its short throughput times combined with outstanding print quality. Our machine is equipped with Prinect Inpress Control. In other words while we’re printing, it is automatically measuring and controlling the color and register to produce consistently high print quality across the entire run.”

Pressprint was established in 1972 and is a family-run company in Auckland, New Zealand with 35 employees. As well as the Speedmaster XL 75-5+L, it operates a Speedmaster CD 74-5+L, a Speedmaster SM 52-5 and a Printmaster GTO 52-5. It also has a digital press installed. The print shop offers agencies, corporate groups, print buyers, and retail customers a full service comprising prepress, press, and postpress. Its product portfolio includes both packagings and commercial products like business reports and brochures.

“Our Speedmaster XL 75 means that we can produce jobs profitably even when there are frequent changes. From one job change per shift to up to 32 makeready processes with a total of 128 plate changes with runs of 2,000 sheets each, it can handle it all,” says Jason Pressley. “Since we offer both packagings and commercial products, we needed a versatile machine as a replacement for our Speedmaster SM 74. And we found it in the XL 75,” explains Jason Pressley. “No matter what substrate we’re printing, our Speedmaster processes it with ease.”
