Speedmaster XL 106-8-P. Perfect register, very little paper waste and consistently high print quality at 18,000 sheets per hour in perfecting mode.

The most powerful press on the market

“To safeguard the success of my company, I need reliable and powerful presses that put us at the leading edge of technology and enable us to provide the best possible service for our customers. We were looking to increase productivity and speed without having to compromise on quality. A Speedmaster from Heidelberg was the only choice.” For Jacques Fabrégat, founder and Managing Director of JF Impression, customer satisfaction is the key factor in his purchasing decision. And so his choice fell on the Speedmaster XL 106 eight-color perfecting press with a production speed of 18,000 sheets per hour – the first installation of this configuration in France.

The JF Impression print shop is based in Montpellier, and employs a total of 44 staff. It produces all kinds of printed matter, including premium products, in three-shift operation. As a member of the association ImpriFrance, JF Impression holds the Imprim’Vert seal of quality and uses FSC/PEFC paper. Since 2012, it has also held ISO 12647-2 certification, which involved standardization of internal production processes with support from Heidelberg experts.

“When it comes to production in perfecting mode, in a single pass and at a printing speed of 18,000 sheets, the perfect register, consistently high print quality and the noticeable reduction in paper waste made possible by Prinect Inpress Control speak for themselves. The AutoPlate XL plate changer system also enables the synchronized changing of all eight printing plates in a record time of 1.3 minutes. An XL 106 with this configuration is currently the best performing press on the market for both short and long runs. In the comparison between digital and offset printing, the balance is thus shifting significantly in favor of offset, as the shorter makeready times deliver considerable time savings when working involves frequent plate changes,” says Fabrégat, highlighting the advantages of the Speedmaster XL 106.
