How environmentally responsible are your printing processes?

The commercial market for collaterals is growing and changing as clients demand printed material with higher quality and shorter run lengths. The 2017 Drupa Global Trends Report showed that of all commercial investment plans, the highest percentage (31%) is towards digital toner cut-sheet color. The Versafire can produce high-quality printed material on demand with little waste and little waiting time. With the addition of inline finishing, no intermediate steps are required and touch points are greatly reduced.

The Versafire is a very environmentally responsible printing machine. It produces little or no waste, low emissions, and its consumables are efficiently recycled. A total of 99% of the toner cartridge is recycled; the plastic is taken out, pulverized, melted, and molded into new plastic. When possible, some toner cartridges are reused. However, this is a very small percentage because the high quality standard of the cartridges has to be maintained. The recycling process for the toner cartridges is a closed-loop process where all plastic is recycled, without degradation in quality, and thereafter used for another product. There is no waste, unlike open-loop recycling which involves waste disposal, for example, by incineration.

Therefore, the Versafire provides print shops with the ability to sustainably produce high-quality printed material on demand with convenience and cost effectiveness.
