“Our experience with LED in terms of quality, productivity, extremely short delivery times, and high energy efficiency has been outstanding. Our objective in installing the Speedmaster XL 106 LED is to migrate all of our sheetfed business to this cutting-edge technology with a view to increasing our technological lead in LED printing,” confirms Frank Hofmann, owner of Hofmann Infocom. The Speedmaster XL 106 installed at the beginning of 2016 was one of the first in Europe with the innovative dryer technology from Heidelberg. “The technical performance of the XL technology is impressive, and both the overall concept and the integration ability make for a great press,” explains Frank Hofmann.
Hofmann Druck is a full-service operation that produces primarily premium magazines and catalogs for discerning customers using webfed and sheetfed printing, with the option of climate neutral production. The company is integrated into the Hofmann Infocom GmbH Group, whose 150 employees provide over 400 customers with media services in the areas of printing and electronic publication.
LED offers particular benefits for natural papers, since it retains the color brilliance and luminosity of the inks as well as the feel of the paper. A separate brand was therefore introduced with “Hofmann LED Brilliance Technology.” “Our focus here is premium quality in offset sheetfed printing. We are now in a position to offer products that were previously difficult for us to achieve, like art prints,” summarizes Frank Hofmann. “This has already won us new customers, and we will continue to grow with the new Speedmaster XL 106 LED.”
