The worldwide 1,000th Versafire (formerly Linoprint) digital printing system from Heidelberg can be found at Komplan Druck & Design in Munich. The company chose a Versafire CP with a speed of 110 pages per minute.

Two Versafire presses with all-round service from Heidelberg
drupa 2016 gave occasion to intensify the good cooperation with Heidelberg. Benjamin Tolksdorf from the Heidelberg branch in Munich had laid good groundwork. Pleasant negotiations and good timing resulted in the purchase of the worldwide 1,000th Versafire digital printing system being concluded while still at drupa.
Komplan has also opted for a Versafire CV with its extended range of applications and the possibility of a fifth color, due to be delivered and installed any day. “The Heidelberg Versafire CP and the particularly variable Versafire CV are just the right solutions for the scope of application of digital business color printing and they perfectly complement our portfolio,” says Eva Biechteler in explaining the reasons for the investment with the replacement of existing systems.
In partnership with Ricoh, Heidelberg supplies the two Versafire systems with a comprehensive range of technical and machine-related services, training and consulting services as well as consumables. The aim of the range is to strengthen and extend the competitive ability and performance of print media companies, which ties in very well with Eva Biechteler’s mission.
Eye-catching splash of neon yellow color
Heidelberg showed new print samples with a new neon yellow toner for the Versafire CV at drupa. The new toner color is especially reflective under UV and black light. It extends the range of printing possibilities offered by CMYK, white, or coating printing, and provides a way of making short or personalized print runs even more creative and attractive.
