The integration project at media f imprimerie SA in Bulle continues to move forward. Earlier in 2025, the print shop installed a Versafire LV—a next-generation five-color digital press.

There were several reasons behind the decision to invest in Versafire technology, according to Director Sandrine Péclat Zapf. First and foremost was the system’s integration with Prinect Production. The digital workflow solution had already been part of a broader investment made the previous year, when media f imprimerie replaced a 13-year-old Speedmaster XL 75 with a brand-new model of the latest generation and switched to Suprasetter CtP technology.

Thanks to Prinect Production, both offset and digital printing—on the Speedmaster and the Versafire LV—now operate under the same conditions for color management and rendering.

Another key factor was the fifth toner station, which can be equipped with special colors such as gold, silver, white, varnish, neon pink, and neon yellow. “These toner options allow the Versafire LV to fully replace our previous Nexpress press, which we used up until just a few months ago,” explains Péclat Zapf. The Versafire LV also runs on the exact same paper format as the offset press, ensuring smooth production alignment.
