With the world’s first Jetfire 50, Gremper AG expands its hybrid production capabilities, achieving consistent color across offset, toner, and inkjet.

In March 2025, Gremper AG, based in Pratteln near Basel, Switzerland, began production on a Jetfire 50 press, the world's first inkjet system of its kind to be installed for large-scale commercial use. At the same time, the company is replacing a Speedmaster XL 105-6+L and a Speedmaster XL 106-5+L with a state-of-the-art Speedmaster XL 106-8-P+L. Together with its Versafire EV and Versafire EP, Gremper AG will now cover the full range of job types and print volumes, all at the highest quality standards.

The company’s strategy is focused on strengthening both sheetfed offset and industrial digital printing. Cilgia Gremper serves as CEO and Chair of the Board of Directors.

This investment supports Gremper AG’s goal of producing both high-end, multi-finished long runs and increasingly personalized short runs efficiently and with premium quality.

Key reasons behind the decision to invest in the Jetfire 50 included its environmentally friendly water-based inks and its unique approach to priming. Rather than coating the entire sheet, the primer is applied only to image areas, preserving the natural texture of any paper stock. The Jetfire 50 is also fully integrated into the company’s Prinect workflow, the same technology used for color management and rendering on both Versafire systems.
