Above and beyond regulatory requirements we obligated ourselves to comply with prohibitions and restrictions of substances in our products.

We have therefore compiled all relevant environmental rules and standards (legal requirements and voluntary commitments) in a HEIDELBERG specification that has to be complied by the supplier.

Packaging and packaging waste.

The German Packaging Act (VerpackG) serves to implement the European Directive 94/62/EC on packaging and packaging waste. Its purpose is to avoid or reduce the impact of packaging waste on the environment. Packaging waste is to be avoided as a matter of priority and, in addition, recycled. In addition, the Packaging Act regulates the obligations that must be observed when placing packaging on the market.

HEIDELBERG will fulfill or comply with the obligations arising from the Packaging Act and, in this context, has contractually obligated all suppliers to also comply with the corresponding requirements. HEIDELBERG will take back packaging within the scope of the legal requirements. As part of this legislation, Heidelberger Druckmaschinen AG has registered with the central office (LUCID). The registration number is: DE3693354703247.

Information for customers

For private end users, HEIDELBERG has joined the "Duales System Deutschland" waste disposal system. Sales packaging from this area may not be disposed of in the residual waste (trash can), but must be collected and disposed of via the existing collection systems (e.g. paper garbage cans or Yellow Sack). This also includes shipping cartons in particular.

Plastic bags, bubble envelopes and bubble cushions can be recycled as part of the waste disposal organized by some municipality (e.g. yellow bag, green garbage can).

We have established separate disposal channels for commercial customers. You can return packaging. To do so, please contact the branch responsible for you.
