Stahlfolder TX 96.

The Stahlfolder TX 96 folding system achieves an annual average output of a 16-pages A4-signature with two shifts of up to 60 Mio. signatures. The basis to this are 8 hours per shift and 240 working days.

A 16-pages signature A4 with 135 g/m² runs reliably with 110 m/min and a shingling degree of almost 50 % with more than 18.000 sheets per hour on the Stahlfolder TX 96.

Maximum machine speeds of 230 m/min are basically possible with conventional, non-shingled fold productions. The higher speeds with shingled fold production are non-practicable for reasons of application technique and paper.

Due to the crosswise feeding of the signatures it is possible to feed up to 30 % more signatures from the feeder. Due to the shingled production in the first fold unit another 50 % more signatures can be transported through the machine. This is reflected in your output.

The fold quality is directly influenced by the machine speed. By means of innovative fold technologies we managed to reduce the machine speed far below today’s current speeds and still increase your output.

Pre-defined folding programs or fold types can easily be stored in the machine memory and quickly be reloaded for each job. Further information on the Prinect Postpress Manager can be found here .

Settings to the air management of the PFX-feeder, the AirstreamTable and the pneumatic twin-lay system can easily be put in at the touchscreen.

With a Stahlfolder TX 96 folding system you get exactly the configuration you require for a highly industrialized signature production: PFX 96-feeder, 1st folding unit for shingled processing of the signatures, 2nd folding unit with pneumatic twin-lay system and 45°-carriage as well as a palamides alpha 700 hd delivery.

These components are reasonably arranged in U-shape in order to give the operator a workspace as compact as possible.

With the Remote-connection the Stahlfolder TX 96 folding systems can be directly connected with the Heidelberg Service.

Ease of operation.

For a further optimization of the one-man operation of a Stahlfolder TX 96 folding system, a polar Transomat can be positioned after the palamides alpha 700 hd delivery, in order to have an automated putting down of the product piles onto the pallet. For this purpose the piles merely have to be arranged on one level. The putting down on the pallet is done in layers and automatically by a Polar Transomat. This allows the operator to pile more than 18.000 sheets per hour comfortably.

Ease of operation.

Due to the compact construction of the Stahlfolder TX 96 folding systems, the 45°-carriage allows for an easy reaching of operating elements in a user-friendly way. The second folding unit can be moved very easily, e.g. to set the slitter shafts. It precisely slides back to its product position over the carriage rails.
