A Combination of High-Precision Perfecting and Smooth Sheet Travel - the Perfecting Technology of the Speedmaster XL 105

• Fully automatic change-over of the perfecting device with eccentrically-shaped reversing drum ensures ultra-smooth sheet travel with exceptional register accuracy.
• The variable AirTransfer system, whose sheet guide plates equipped with innovative Air Jet technology and the TransferJacket cylinder jacket, is the cornerstone of reliable sheet guidance and ultimate print quality in perfecting printing. The swing-out cylinder shells, before and after sheet reversal, extend automatically when switching to perfecting mode. In this way, they provide optimum support for the sheet.
• The intake ports in the storage drum enable optimum registration.
• The shells of the transfer cylinder are equipped with TransferJacket cylinder jackets with an ink-repellent surface finish. It prevents that ink being deposited there permanently and thus minimizes the need for cleaning.
• The PerfectJacket impression cylinder jacket has an uneven surface, which reduces the area in contact with the freshly printed sheet; the ink-repellent surface is also sealed to reduce ink buildup on the cylinder jacket.
• The dynamic sheet distance control device monitors and automatically corrects sheet travel by adjusting the air flows to ensure optimum sheet transfer.
