Metalure

Metalure is a highly brilliant aluminum pigment dispersion with exceptional light-reflecting properties in inks and coatings. Metalure gives varnishes and coatings a clear, brilliant metallic appearance. The decorative design options range from satin chrome, the impression of anodized or molten metal, to chrome mirror effects. These effects cannot be reproduced with conventional metal pigments.
 
The bottle labels with gold Metalure shown in the picture for example were produced on a Speedmaster with Duo configuration. A Metalure coating is preprinted in the flexographic printing unit ahead of the offset units and dried in the subsequent drying unit. Conventional inks are then applied in the offset units. The final step is to apply a protective dispersion coating.
