Speedmaster SM 52 - User Report: Drukbaert, Belgium

In April 2007, a Speedmaster SM 52-4 was installed at the Belgian print shop Drukbaert in Beveren-Leie. Its magenta printing unit is the 25,000th of the Speedmaster SM 52 line.

In June 2007, Hendrik and Natalie Baert invited Dr. Jürgen Rautert, Member of the Management Board, responsible for Engineering and Manufacturing and the management team of Heidelberg's partner Plantin to participate in the inauguration ceremony. Specialized in small runs, Drukbaert has won an excellent reputation nationwide with the production of birthday and wedding greetings cards.

Drukbaert also offers a full service portfolio from photography to finishing. The print shop employs four staff: Hendrik Baert with his wife Natalie, one printer and one employee who is responsible for finishing. The average run length amounts to 5,000 sheets.
 
The small company's recent fiscal year was successful enough to invest in a Speedmaster SM 52 four-colour press. Computer-to-Plate and some finishing equipment from Heidelberg. Hendrik Baert as an experienced long-term Heidelberg customer knows about the quality he can expect from his Speedmaster.

The family enterprise was founded in 1964 by Walter Baert. Son Hendrik, who took over the business activities a few years ago, has been concentrating on giving the company a new, innovative direction ever since.
