Stable concentrations of alcohol and dampening solution additives, clean dampening solution and constant temperatures in the printing unit are all vital requirements for ensuring optimum print results. HydroStar for dampening solution conditioning and CombiStar for integrated dampening solution conditioning and inking unit temperature control ensure optimum conditions throughout the run.
Frequent changes of dampening solution take up a lot of time. With CombiStar filtration technology, the quality of the dampening solution is improved and its service life is extended to up to three months. CombiStar ensures that the inking unit is pre-heated when the machine starts up and cooled during the production run. The temperatures of the printing plate, ink and blanket are thus always kept constant. CombiStar reduces startup and production waste. The ink consistency remains stable, and ink zones and dampening need to be adjusted less frequently.
CombiStar Pro is a high-end unit for particularly demanding applications.
It meters dampening solution additives even more precisely and incorporates an intelligent trend value analysis function to monitor the printing process as well as a sophisticated energy-saving mechanism. This system is particularly recommended for UV, lowalcohol and alcohol-free applications.
