New Heidelberg MetaDimension Utilizes Enfocus Software PitStop PDF Technology

Enfocus Software today announce that Heidelberg's new RIP and
workflow solution MetaDimension optionally includes Enfocus PitStop
PDF preflighting and correction technology
A new version of MetaDimension 2.5 utilizing Enfocus PDF technology will be showcased by Heidelberg at the upcoming Print '01 trade show, September 6-13 in Chicago.
This latest announcement extends the relationship between the two companies to develop solutions customized to Heidelberg's workflow systems. The goal of which is to offer a variety of enhancements to end-users for streamlining the creation of print-production-ready PDF files.
Peter Camps, Enfocus CEO states that "Enfocus' relationship with Heidelberg has been very positive and we look forward to continuing our cooperative efforts to move toward fully-integrated digital print-production workflows in the graphic arts markets."

Togehter with Pitstop this new workflow concept provides an extremely robust and customer orientated PDF solution," said Axel Zoeller, new VP Product Management Workflow at Heidelberg. MetaDimension, the new modular RIP and workflow solution from Heidelberg, significantly enhances the productivity of PDF workflows. This is also accomplished first by using the preflight and auto correction capabilities of PitStop Professional as well as the more automated workflows provided by the hot folder setups in PitStop Server. In addition, PitStop Professional is used to provide interactive editing capabilities to the PDF file itself, creating a complete and fully functional PDF workflow. Both, PitStop Server and PitStop Professional are available as an option with MetaDimension.
