Van Genechten Packaging, Europe's largest independent folding
carton producer, underline their strategy in the premium packaging
with their newest investment for a high performance Speedmaster XL
105-8+LYYLX3, a fully automated offset press from Heidelberger
Druckmaschinen AG, the worldwide largest offset manufacturer.
This investment will take place in the site of VG
Angoulême, which is fully dedicated to the premium packaging
market.
France is one of the most important packaging markets for
luxury goods like perfume/ cosmetics and beverages like
Champagne/Cognac and Whisky.
This sophisticated configuration XL 105-8+LYYLX3 consisting
in 8 printing units and double coating units, full UV printing,
automatic pile changing at feeder and delivery will enable Van
Genechten Angoulême to produce all kind of "value added"
effects like gloss/mat varnishes, metallic/iriodin coatings and
also print inline a high variety of ink and coating combinations
with opaque white on aluminum coated cardboard. Since the
Speedmaster XL 105 was launched on drupa 2004, more than 1150
presses of this class have been sold around the word.
