Print Media Academy Seminars 2007
12/11/2006
A New Approach to Securing the Future
The Print Media Academy has presented its annual program for
2007 under the title "Broaden your horizons." The range
of courses on offer for the print media industry includes more than
70 seminars, training courses, congresses and forums. The various
events provide information on industry expertise, production
know-how, sales, marking and management. The program is available
immediately.
The British composer Benjamin Britten was aware of the
importance of continued learning: "Learning is like rowing
against the current. Once you stop, you start to drift." Bernd
Schopp, Head of the Print Media Academy, also stresses the
importance of being open to continuous learning: "Our industry
develops at such a fast pace. New market requirements and technical
advances mean that employees at all levels of the company have to
keep learning and gaining new skills." Sound and practical
training on machines and Prinect modules are as much a part of the
Print Media Academy program as modern management training courses.
To quench the thirst for knowledge in print and media companies,
the Print Media Academy also organizes international executive
programs such as the Winter University and Summer University. Bernd
Schopp: "With Heidelberg as the headquarters of an
international academy network, we are familiar with the global
trends in our industry and put them into practice in practical
training courses." For example, the Print Media Academy offers
the "Print Media" Masters Program in cooperation with the
London College of Communication. Further highlights in the current
seminar program include events on "Succession in family-run
enterprises" and business management and specialist courses
covering topics such as costing and project management.
