Managers from the graphic arts industry to contribute to
international exchange/ workshops offer management expertise
From July 17-22, 2005, the Print Media Academy (PMA) in
Heidelberg is organizing the fourth Summer University for managers
from the print media industry from all over the world. This
year's program features intensive workshops and interesting
specialist discussions with direct relevance to practical
situations. Taking place in Heidelberg, the event concentrates on
strategic issues relating to company management.
Participants in the Summer University 2005 will have a
week-long opportunity to learn about practical management
instruments that they can apply directly within their own
companies. The event focuses in particular on the requirements of
small and midsize businesses. In addition to market and competitor
analyses, the training will tackle general questions of company
management, strategy development and new concepts for services,
products and sales. More importantly, however, experts in financial
management, controlling, corporate development and HR will be on
hand to share their knowledge.
"The Summer University offers participants a week of
intensive on-the-job training. Led by osb Tuebingen and experienced
industry experts from renowned educational institutions in
Stuttgart and Wuppertal closely linked to the print and media
industry and specialists from Heidelberger Druckmaschinen, the
event offers an insight into the latest management and technology
trends," explains Bernd Schopp, Head of the Print Media
Academy. There is also plenty of time for workshop participants to
discuss alternative solutions with specialists from all over the
world and draw up customized project plans. "Through
presentations and case studies, the participants work in small
groups to come up with new ideas and exchange their thoughts,"
says Schopp.
