Heidelberg's extensive finishing know-how is reflected in a
wide range of products and components for the most diverse of
finishing applications. The buckle plate and combi folding machines
in the Heidelberg TD and KD ranges have been equipped with the
latest DCT 2000 electronics (DCT = Digital Control Technology) and
are fully workflow-compatible. The Stahlfolder TD 52 Topline will
be making its first ever appearance at drupa 2000. This buckle
plate folding machine has been designed for the highly popular 50 x
70 centimeter print format, and its automatic presetting enables it
to precisely meet the needs of medium-format printers. What is
more, Heidelberg will be introducing the Ti 40 Proline buckle plate
folding machine, which has been specially design for the quick
print and digital printing markets.
Heidelberg will be rounding off its product spectrum for
market-oriented finishing solutions with three new Stahlfolder
models.
TD/KD Topline range
The buckle plate and combi folding machines of the Topline
series are the ideal link between high-tech mechanics and the new,
future-oriented DCT 2000 electronics. Networking Stahfolders
creates the conditions necessary for perfect job planning and makes
production operations and costs transparent in the finishing
process. Both folding machine series are characterized by
convenient operation, plain-text operator guidance, with optimum
access to all control elements and slitter shafts. The Topline
series is synonymous with productivity for professional folding -
complete with electronic setup, sheet monitoring and production
checks.
The modular design of the buckle plate folding machines from
the TD series adds greater value thanks to numerous additional
applications such as gluing, perforating, and timed perforating and
cutting.
The combi folding machines in the Topline series exhibit high
durability, particularly for professional folding applications in
book and brochure production where very little space is available.
TD 52 Topline for the end-to-end workflow in medium format
The new, automatic TD 52 Topline buckle plate folding machine has
automatic presetting functions and a CIP3 link with
SCS100/Compufold. This closes the circle from prepress to
finishing. Compufold reads the CIP3 file created during
impositioning in the prepress stage and converts the data into
machine setting programs.
Using the convenient controls, 81 folding types can be called
up from the folding type catalog. After the sheet length and width
have been entered, the machine calculates all the necessary setting
values. Activating the program causes buckle plate stops and side
lays to move automatically to the calculated position.
Ti 40 Proline for A3 format
Based on the proven Heidelberg technology, the Heidelberg Ti
40 Proline compact buckle plate folding machine was developed
specially for the small-offset and quick print sectors. With its
small space requirement and high mobility, it matches precisely the
requirements of this growing market segment. It is easy to use and
can take on all jobs, just like the "big" professional
folding machines.

folding type catalog. Control elements directly linked to buckle
plates and side lays optimize presettings quickly and conveniently
ready for production.
