Saphira Performance Kits Optimize Performance of Heidelberg Presses for Special Applications |

From drupa 2008, Heidelberger Druckmaschinen AG (Heidelberg) is offering its customers Saphira Performance Kits for specific applications and technologies. These will deliver even better performance levels from Heidelberg equipment.
The Saphira Performance Kits consist of coordinated consumables developed initially for Anicolor and Perfecting Coating Solution technologies and UV applications. The consumables, which all bear the Saphira label, have been enhanced by Heidelberg and combined so that they dovetail perfectly with each other and with the equipment. The special composition of these kits enables users to unlock the full scope and performance of the equipment and to achieve high-quality production results for special applications. All the consumables they include are either manufactured in-house by Heidelberg or have been developed jointly in cooperation with selected suppliers.
The first Saphira Performance Kits are available for the Speedmaster SM 52 with Anicolor technology (Saphira Performance Kit Anicolor), UV applications (Saphira Performance Kit Hi-speed UV, available end 2008), and Speedmaster SM 102 presses with Perfecting Coating Solution (Saphira Performance Kit Perfecting Coating Solution).
They augment the Starter Kits included as standard ex works and are available on request. Further packages are under development.
"Our own research results have shown that the already high performance of Heidelberg equipment can be further enhanced through the use and intelligent combination of coordinated consumables, thereby making the process of achieving the best possible quality in special applications even more cost-efficient. We have incorporated these findings in the make-up of the Saphira Performance Kits and are making them available to our customers as of drupa 2008," explains Peter Tix, Head of Business Management at Heidelberg and, as of July 1, 2008, responsible for managing consumables business.
