The Digimaster 9150i print system of Heidelberger Druckmaschinen
AG (Heidelberg) has received the highest possible "Five
Star" rating from BERTL (Digital Test Lab).
BERTL, one of the printing industry's foremost independent
testing laboratories, recently recognized the Digimaster 9150i
machine with its Five Star "Exceptional" rating, which is
only bestowed to a small number of products annually. In its latest
Imaging at Work report, BERTL gave the Digimaster 9150i system high
marks in an array of key areas, including image quality, product
design and build, print speed versus higher-rated systems, paper
supply and finishing options.
According to BERTL CEO Carmel Rowley, "When compared to
other systems, the Digimaster 9150i (as well as its sibling the
Digimaster 9110) delivers not only the best quality reproduction to
date, but also equivalent or faster throughput than its
180-page-per-minute competitor on a variety of jobs performed by
BERTL analysts. In short, the Heidelberg Digimaster 9150i delivered
strong performance under test and earned every one of its five
stars."
"The paper and finishing options on the Heidelberg
Digimaster 9150i are best in class," Rowley continued,
"and Heidelberg's hole punching system is revolutionary. The
first thing buyers should like about the Heidelberg Digimaster
9150i is the fact that it offers a non-proprietary PDF-based
workflow system."
"We are delighted that another one of our Digimaster
print systems has earned the highest-possible rating from BERTL,
recognized in the industry for its balanced, independent
evaluations," said Wolfgang Pfizenmaier, president of
Heidelberg's Solution Center Digital Print. "This recognition
is shared among Heidelberg employees - and among Digimaster 9150i
customers worldwide, who are benefiting from a faster-speed product
that delivers greater productivity, improved workflow, high uptime
and superior image quality."
Pfizenmaier noted that this latest accolade recognizes the
ability of Heidelberg to turn the requirements of customers within
various industries regarding new applications and desires for
increased productivity into new offerings.
For all segments, the Digimaster 9150i helps to improve the
workflow and productivity through its modular design. Commercial
printers are able to pick and choose the right modules to offer
their customers the print products they want, from folded Flyers,
punched inserts for ring binders, even with personalised tabs,
stitched sets, booklets, perfect bound books to mechanical bound
books or even full Book Publishing. Insurance companies for example
are able to have a fully automated process to produce their mission
critical applications like policies directly into the envelope with
100 percent integrity. Manufacturing and other industrial and
Wholesale customers like the reliability and uptime, which is
critical in today's Just-in-Time manual production and ERP
integrated printing of mission critical material.
The Digimaster 9150i print system enables
150-image-per-minute digital black-and-white printing throughout
the system - maintaining the rated speed even when used with
accessories and finishing equipment. The Digimaster 9150i system
enables improved digital workflow, giving users the opportunity to
produce greater print volumes without increasing staffs or
extending shifts.
Heidelberg's Digital Print Solution Center developed the
Digimaster 9150i system, which was one of the highlights at On
Demand Digital Printing & Publishing Conference and Exposition
in New York, April 7 to 9.
BERTL has continually recognized the performance of the
Digimaster product family. Last year, BERTL named the Digimaster
9110 print system the best high-volume monochrome CRD production
device, and it has previously honored the printer with its Five
Star rating.
About BERTL
Established in 1990, BERTL (Digital Test Lab) conducts
more independent "hands-on" evaluations of digital imaging systems
than any other product reviewer. BERTL's product evaluation reports
are published online at
www.BERTL.com , along with a range of other
digital imaging services, designed to assist end-users and product
resellers make informed decisions. BERTL also developed
"PageCheck" software which measures page coverage on
color and mono documents. In an average month, about 2.5 million
documents are downloaded from the company's website, a clear
indication as to why BERTL holds the leading position as the most
sought after reviews and recommendations in the industry.
